RCM, part of the Benx Group, are a major supplier of building boards and facade solutions. We now have an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team, for a fixed term, 12 month contract, covering maternity leave.

The role would suit someone with a background in Construction or similar. Previous experience completing quotations is essential.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Estimating material costs, assessing material options, and ancillary items required with material ‘take offs’ from customer drawings
  • Presenting costs using SAGE based quote system. (Training provided)
  • Gathering relevant data from emails, documents and drawings (including scaling from them) to define requirements
  • Liaising with clients and the external sales team to provide accurate quotes and manage pipelines
  • Panel optimisations (training will be provided)
  • Producing production documents and dealing with day-to-day admin
  • Ensuring quotations are dealt within a timely manner
  • Dealing with customers proactively and reactively
  • Maintaining records of quotations
  • Answering queries from clients and staff relating to products and pricing
  • Order processing resilience when needed
  • Liaising with suppliers

The Candidate

  • Strong commercial knowledge and cost awareness
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The ability to work to demanding deadlines and manage conflicting demands and various tasks simultaneously
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Excellent maths skills to make accurate calculations
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge and experience of the façade industry would be an advantage
