External wall insulation systems are extensively used on lightweight framed structures and direct-fix projects. The speed at which they can be erected and weatherproofed provides significant benefits to the developer. Removing the cladding from the critical path, bringing forward the internal trades and thereby shortening the contract period and eliminating the problems associated with brick and blockwork construction. This method of construction has proven extremely popular over recent years.
